There are many types of wood plastic composite products. Most of the articles made of wood or plastic can be replaced by wood plastic composite boards, and it involves cross-cutting areas that are not involved in either. For example, WPC panels can be applied to coastal facilities.
Wood-plastic composite materials are also being developed for sleepers. Railway sleepers are traditionally made of wood. In recent years, reinforced concrete sleepers have also been introduced abroad. Wooden sleepers require a large amount of high-quality wood, are easily damaged, and require constant maintenance and replacement. Reinforced concrete sleepers lack elasticity and cause a lot of wear on vehicles and roadbeds.
Foreign studies have shown that natural fiber plastic composite sleepers can achieve the mechanical properties of wooden sleepers and are highly economical, making them an ideal alternative to existing sleepers.
